This beautiful antique doll has an unusual cloth body with leather arms. Our research indicates that some dolls of this type were produced with cloth bodies and not just with the more typical kid leather bodies. Therefore, we believe the body is original to the doll.
The bisque head is in very good condition, except for a flaw to the left ear hole. There are no other flaws to the head or shoulder plate. No cracks, or hairlines to the bisque. The original cork pate and human hair wig are glued in place.
The body is well preserved, showing some staining and signs of wear to the leather arms.
The doll comes dressed as shown. We cannot confirm which pieces of her clothing are original and which are later replacements. The beautiful corset appears to be original. The antique booties are well preserved. The outfit appears to be a later replacement, the jacket has no fasteners.
Her unusual antique hat shows wear but remains in beautiful, displayable condition.
The doll can be displayed in both sitting and standing positions.
