This is a beautiful example of an early Kestner alphabet series bisque head doll with a close mouth and turned head. She has working sleepy eyes with worn paint on the eyelids. The bisque head is free of damage and retains its original plaster pate. The doll is wearing a human hair wig.
She is dressed in a very pretty handmade old dress, which fits tightly and was not removed to prevent damage. The body is covered in fabric that functions as sewn-on undergarments. It feels structurally sturdy, with no leaking noted , though some repairs may be present. The bisque lower hands each have a tiny chip.
