This very pretty and unusual mignonette girl doll most likely has a head that is not original to the body. The head is a Gebruder Knoch, which was originally intended for a composition body. The body itself is very rare and hard to find, most likely a Simon Halbig body.
The bisque head has paint flaws that look more like production defects. The eyes are stationary. There is no damage to the head. The body shows a few small areas of damage, including a chip to the socket neck part of the torso, a tiny chip to one of the fingers on the right hand, and a flake to the hole on the right arm. There is also a production defect near the belly. No other flaws to the bisque body.
Light paint wear is present on the shoes. The doll is beautifully dressed in her original clothes, which are nicely preserved. We believe only the head is a replacement, while the body and outfit are original.
The doll is very sweet and can be beautifully displayed as is. Otherwise, the head can be replaced.
