Two early antique composition dolls measuring approximately 17" and 12" tall. The larger doll appears to represent a soldier and shows heavy age-related wear, including cracks and flaking to the head, with the upper layers of composition missing on the arms. The outfit shows noticeable wear, with tears and holes to the shoes. Despite the wear, the parts of the doll remain well attached.
The smaller baby doll is in noticeably better overall condition. The composition shows some age, but it is generally well preserved. The baby is dressed as shown. Both dolls have composition heads and composition lower arms, with the remaining portions consisting of cloth. The parts of the baby doll are also well attached.
