Charming pair of rare dolls: Mr. Foo and his wife (often referred to as Madam Foo). This is a pair of vintage Chinese character dolls produced around the 1930s to 1940s. Mr Foo has an original tag ; handwritten 1943 on the back. These collectible figures represent a joyful Chinese merchant couple. They feature expertly molded, They have painted composition heads, hands, and feet coupled with a soft stuffed cloth body. Some scratches/marks are present to their composition parts. Mr Foo is missing most of his moustache. Madame Foo - her shoulder plate feels wobbly under her clothes. Looks like each of them is missing some parts of what they have been holding in their hands. Each of them is dressed in traditional Chinese silk garments - some holes/faded colors are present. Selling as a lot only. Decor is not included
