Very hard-to-find and adorable doll depicting a girl or young lady. The exact origin is uncertain, though her hairstyle is reminds of Grenier dolls, while the overall appearance is closer to French papier-mâché dolls such as Pauline types. Due to these mixed characteristics, the doll is difficult to attribute with certainty.
She is 23" tall. Appears to be all original and is a rare example in good condition considering her age. The doll is missing two teeth and shows wear to the papier-mâché, along with possible paint touch-ups and some repairs to the shoulder plate. Aside from this, she is well preserved. Comes dressed in original outfit. It is nicely preserved. One of the shoes is missing a decoration and shoes show additional wear. The body has a look similar to antique primitive American dolls.
