This example is from Bernard Ravca's celebrated series of American historical figures and political leaders, produced after he became a U.S. citizen in the late 1940s. Sculpted papier-mâché portrait doll representing U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren, who served from 1953 to 1969. Papier Mache head with painted features - some chipped areas are present to his lips/teeth - see photos. Padded stockinette-covered armature body with flexible posing. He is dressed in its original brown wool suit with a shirt, tie, and brown shoes. The original Ravca wrist tag, inscribed "F. R. D." which represents Franklin D. Roosevelt - most likely tag is not original to this doll. Holes and discolorations might be present to his clothes - see photos as they are part of the description. Stand is not included
