This is a wonderful wooden folk art figure in a primitive, naïve style, possibly European. The doll is a solid carved wooden piece with carved hair, clothing and boots. The figure is one-piece construction with no articulation. Original painted surface is present with heavy wear, scuffs, and paint loss. Damage to the left hand and foot.
The figure is mounted on a round metal base, which is a little loose, but can be adjusted. The base shows oxidation and wear. Felt pads are present on the underside. No marks or labels were found.
